Mahaneh-Dan Theological College (MTC) was established in 1989, inspired by the vision of Rev. P. T. Varghese and realized through the earnest prayers and efforts of Rev. P. S. Scaria, Rev. C. S. Scaria, and a dedicated group of men of God.
The college began in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, with just five students in a small rented room, originally known as the Mahaneh-Dan Missionary Training Centre. It later moved to Dombivli and, in 1997, established a permanent campus in Ulhasnagar. Since then, MTC has trained and equipped hundreds of men and women to serve in the Lord's vineyard, who have gone on to pioneer churches and institutions across India. Recognizing the increasing need for Spirit-filled, Scripturally strong leaders, the college introduced three key courses—Certificate in Theology (C.Th.), Diploma in Theology (D.Th.), and Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.)—to meet the needs of those dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission.
MTC stands out for its mission-focused approach and dedicated faculty, who serve not only as instructors but also as mentors, fostering students' growth in spiritual, academic, relational, and ministerial areas. Our goal is to nurture each student toward maturity in Christ. Dr. Ebby Mammen, the International President of Mahaneh-Dan Fellowship, now serves as the Executive Director of MTC, continuing the legacy of strong leadership and dedication to theological education. Mahaneh-Dan Theological College (MTC) has been accredited as a college by the International Association for Theological Accreditation (IATA).
